Kate Rosamond Bridal is a bespoke design and dressmaking service for the unique and design-conscious bride. Our ethos is that every bride deserves to feel beautiful in her individuality, and our aim is to bring the dress of your dreams to life.
With years of training across the fashion and costume industries, Kate has mastered design, pattern cutting, corsetry, stand draping and bespoke hand-sewing. It is this rare combination of skills that lets her work collaboratively with you to create your gown.

The Bespoke Process
Consultation
We begin with a complimentary online consultation where you can tell me all of your thoughts and dreams about your dress and your big day. A vital starting point in the bespoke process, the consultation allows us to delve deeper into your imagination and explore the technique of custom wedding dress creation.
Design
You are then welcomed to our Hertfordshire studio where illustrations will have been drawn up, and this is when we can create a final direction together on paper. Measurements are taken, but never as more than a starting guide, and the journey of your dress creation can really begin.
Toile
We will begin making a mock-up of your dress; this is referred to as a ‘toile’. It is made in inexpensive fabric that can be pinned, cut and drawn on in order to get the perfect fit and style for you. Here you will look at the finest fabric samples that have been carefully curated just for you. At this stage we enjoy the process of playing around with style and shape to mould the gown to perfection.
Construction
The dress will be crafted using Kate's expertise, and the finest dressmaking techniques will be used to bring everything together in your final gown.
Fittings
A series of two or three fittings allow every detail to be refined until the dress is fitting you to perfection and includes every aspect of what you imagined.
Your Day
You will walk away from the studio knowing you have had a dress made for you and you alone. A completely unique, one of a kind dress, that will forever be remembered as your bespoke Kate Rosamond Bridal gown.

Kate Rosamond
Kate's passion for bridalwear began with her days at the bridal and fashion powerhouse, Jenny Packham. With a degree in Fashion Design from the University of Leeds under her belt, she spent her time here immersing herself in intricate hand sewing techniques and working with the fine, luxurious fabrics used in creating bespoke bridal gowns. From here, she went on to study a Masters degree in Costume Design from the prestigious London College of Fashion. Upon graduating, Kate spent the next 5 years working on various theatre, television and film productions as a costume maker and designer. Her time spent on these projects allowed her to expand her skills and knowledge of pattern cutting and garment making and to work with every body type in finding the right style for the client.
The birth of this business began after Kate made her own dress for her wedding day in the Summer of 2021. Having taken on a few commissions for bridal gowns before this, the experience of making her dream come true dress for her big day ignited a spark in her to bring this business to life and gave Kate her brand ethos: For every shape, for every style, for every bride. Her ambition is to make sure that every woman feels the best version of herself on the big day.
From the moment I contacted Kate…I instantly knew I had made the right decision. Kate, you have been my real-life wedding dress angel, and no words can thank you enough!

The space is designed for you and any guests you may want to include, to relax and create wedding dress magic, alongside your designer, Kate.
