As the founder of Kate Rosamond, Kathleen had a big challenge to fit and create her own dress. The mock up was made and altered a painstaking number of times, as she was unable to pin it on herself and so had to make various amendments one at a time. As a curvy figured bride, it was important to feel supported and covered in the right places whilst still having an elegant and flattering silhouette.

One benefit of creating the dress herself is that she was able to try it on at every step of the process. This meant she could adapt and alter the design as she went along. The Italian lace work was a large amount of work, along with the hand beaded pearls and 3D lace flowers adorning the bodice.
