Katie's flapper dress was created using a bias draped silk on top of a hidden corset. The corset was necessary so that she didn't have to wear a bra under the elegant thin straps of the dress. We played around with different ways to drape the beaded fringe and ended up on the more couture detailing of the chevron pattern.
As this was the second dress we created for Katie, we already knew her body shape quite well which allowed for a very easy fitting of this gown. A little excess was taken out from under the arms and bust cups were added for extra support and va va voom to enhance her beautiful figure. We even made some gorgeous bespoke bows that were added to her shoes to finish off this evening look perfectly.
Katie danced to LOVE by Nat King Cole and shimmered the night away. The movement of the dress on the dance floor was exactly what she had dreamed of, and she even commented that it was the best thing she has ever worn! Congratulations, Katie & Ed.
